Report from April 7th
A shorter walk today after yesterday’s efforts. This was again going across country to reach the coast again.A lot of the time was walking along sunken country lanes so the hedge tops were about 3 feet above my head. This means you end up plodding along a narrow lane with no views to the side…

Having had a good rest a Burry Port the next question was, where next? The path turns inland here to Carmarthen and there was no accommodation on the path until Carmarthen. Thus I was left with a 25 mile walk. As a further problem the walk was not going to be a flat bimble round…

March 31st
Nice quiet day 7.4 miles to Mumbles, enlivened by a footbridge being closed in Swansea so a trip round the docks was needed to get back on track. I avoided the snow apart from a few flakes which causes great excitement as I passed the primary school. The Gower awaits

March 30th
Had to do 29 miles over the next two days so obviously split that into 23 miles on the first day and 6 on the second. 😞This was due to where hotels were available and as I’d had a rest day, I thought I’d give it a try.It went quite well with just under 10…
