Report from January 6th

I decided on an early start to give me a chance of crossing the river Gillan at Newquay by the tidal bridge saving me an extra three miles walking.
The beach at Perranporth was lovely in the sunrise light .
Then it was long walk along the beach north of Perranporth before taking on more cliffs and even some high dunes at Holywell.
The walk was done a bit more briskly than I normally do as time and in this case tide wait for no man.
I was greatly relieved to reach the footbridge and finding it still passable. Then it was off into a wet Newquay to meet up with Dave, one of my support team for a meal and a few beers and a welcome day off.
