Report from September 4th

I had finally managed to get a room booked in Felixstowe so it was just a matter of getting on the foot ferry at Bawdsey and walking a few miles into Felixstowe.
I arrived at Bawdsey just as the ferry was leaving and the pilot grudgingly waited for me as I moved gingerly down the slippery runway.
At the other side a large group of people wanted to get on however they had to all wait for me to toil up another slippery slope before they could board. Some were not impressed.
The walk into Felixstowe revealed beaches and more groynes than you could shake a stick at.
Despite my hotel being near the top of the only hill in Felixstowe I was happy to get to my bed and give my knee a bit more TLC.
