Report from August 9th

An early start in order to get to Cleethorpes before it got too hot. Also had to buy my ticket for this evening.
It was more walking through industrial estates though I did get close to the hydraulic tower at Grimsby . I wandered into Cleethorpes at 10am and was pleased to see the floodlights of Blundell Park, home of Grimsby Town who I have followed since I was 11.
As I approached the ground to buy a ticket I could see a queue of about 30 people. It turned out there were just two of us looking for tickets for tonight’s EFL cup match against Crewe the rest were queuing for the new away kit.
Ticket bought I made my way to my B and B for a two days off.
