Report from May 18th

The day did not start well when at about one AM the main tentpole of my tent snapped and the tent duly collappsed on top of me.
Luckily it was not raining and in daylight I could see that the pole was definitely broken. This left two problems, a long term one of replacing the tent pole and a short term one because in 36 hours or so I needed to wild camp again.
The morning was spent walking and solving the long term problem with replacement poles being sent to Bangor where I would be staying.
The short term one was solved by the lady in the Post Office at Rhosneigr who suggest parcel tape as an alternative to the unobtainable duck tape or gorilla tape.
The rest of the day was fairly uneventful thank goodness and I arrived at a nice B and B in Aberffawr .
