The day started brightly with the realisation that my tent and I hadn’t blown away in last nights gales.
The walk to Caernarfon was a flat affair along the estuary which merges with the Menai straits.
Caernarfon has one of the best approaches of any town on the path as the castle pokes over the skyline and then the city walls come into view along the bank.
I stayed in the Anglesey arms next to the castle .
