Day 2

Day 2 report. Definitely a day of two halves, walking down the Severn bank in the Spring sunshine accompanied by skylarks and Meadow pipits doing display flights was lovely.
Not so lovely was walking across the Severn bridge.
Somehow I ended up in the cycle lane which did not help. The cyclists were fast and did not have bells to warn of their approach. They did shout a bit though.
You are walking for over 2 miles in a straight line with heavy traffic thundering by you at head height. This is not fun.
However I finally reached my hotel in Chepstow at 1pm, only a 9 mile day, and had a pint at a micro pub to celebrate starting the Welsh Coastal Path tomorrow.
